Five Seasons of Wind Chimes

A few times a year I assign all of my students a short music composition exercise. Some students look forward to these fun assignments and a few others, probably not so much. I assigned my students a project to write a piece in a pentascale of their choice with the goal of making it sound like wind chimes.

Miss Emma took this assignment and ran with it. The original assignment was to write 2-4 measures and she wrote a completely 3 page piece! I am so proud with what she wrote, how much thought went into it and how beautiful it is too. She had such great care and attention to details such as her dynamics, articulation, rhythm and of course, a beautiful melody line. Well done, Miss Emma and keep up the Great Work!
