Practice Breeds Mastery

This past summer term we had our studio's annual "Minute Master" competition. Student's really worked hard and logged in their practice time. Apart from having prizes for the winners in each age category, the best prize of all, that every student received, was growth and development in their instrument of study. I am so proud of each student and the hard work they put in to preparing for our studio recitals.

Miss Alani won in her age category, 13-14 year olds, and also finished with the most minutes practiced in the entire studio with a whopping 1,765 minutes in the 26 day competition! That is an average of 68 minutes a day of practice.

I can't say it enough, but the more we practice, the more we grow, and ultimately the more we enjoy creating music. Well done to all of my students this summer, and well done Miss Alani for learning so much this summer. I am so proud of you and love hearing the beautiful music that both you and your sister play for me each week.
